We are pleased to announce that, for the second consecutive year, Wultra has been named a Sample Vendor in the post-quantum authentication category of the Gartner® Hype Cycle™ for Digital Identity, 2026. We believe Wultra’s position as the only Sample Vendor listed in this emerging category underscores its early focus on delivering practical post-quantum authentication for financial institutions and enterprises managing digital identity at scale.

Post-quantum authentication (PQA), also known as quantum-safe authentication (QSA), refers to authentication methods that incorporate post-quantum cryptography (PQC) to defend against the coming wave of quantum-enabled attacks. Gartner forecasts that:

In our view, the report also recommends that organizations prioritize solutions that support cryptoagility, and when selecting new tools, prefer vendors in the following order: those that offer post-quantum authentication first, followed by those with a clear timeline for post-quantum authentication.
